β if this is to be my penance, then i shall carry it like something sacred; i shall hope the wounds it leaves are seen as anything worthy of the price they paid.
this - selfishly, as i ever was - will be my one and only comfort. β
21+ only, IC and OOC.
i'm only interested in roleplay in game.
ic is not equatable to ooc. my character's opinions, thoughts and actions do not reflect me as a writer.
i'm fine with dark, adult and otherwise mature themes with proper tact and context. thea invites darker themes and prolonged interaction with her should come with the expectation of darker themes eventually being present in play. if you have things you'd like me to avoid, please let me know!
i'm not interested in erp with no chemistry, reason or context. i'm also not interested in rp with characters intended for erp/fetishes, including those that use the terminology that comes with it.
i prefer scheduling for roleplay over anything spontaneous.
lightless is available only for those who intend to rp with me, just ask.
i adore yapping about characters outside of rp and would love it if you did so with me. β₯

TRUE NAME Elspeth DremieurNICKNAME/ALIAS Lionheart; Althea Luimont; TheaAGE 28GENDER & PRONOUNS apathetic, she/herORIENTATION pansexualMARITAL unbonded; detachedRACE/ETHNICITY wildwood elezen/seeker miqo'teHEIGHT 6β0βHAIR auburnEYES greenPIERCINGS noneSCARS / TATTOOS / MARKINGS innumerable scars, the most notable being one on her back that seems to be done on purpose. covered in freckles.DISTINGUISHING FEATURES Abundant aether; often armored; heavily scarred, especially on the back; slit pupilsFIRST IMPRESSION Quiet and rather jaded - many meet Thea in her armor and are unable to discern her gender until she speaks - if she does. She seems to prefer it that way, opting to keep out of the spotlight in silence unless a need for coin would bring her into it. Many encounter her first in various fighting rings, where she proves herself a rather ferocious combatant - its where she seems to flourish.
TARNISHED SHIELD Thea carries a shield that has most certainly seen better days; it's quite clear that what was once a House banner, but it has been meticulously scratched and smelted over, leaving an ugly scar on the front. Why not just get a new shield or have it professionally redone? It does make her look ferocious, one can only suppose.
IRRESISTIBLE AETHER Thea's aether is lavishly abundant and with an unobstructed purity that anyone with decent aethersense can see for themselves. It makes sense now why her magic and aetherial capabilities are so robust, but this amount in one body would leave poor effects on anybody, wouldn't it?
STRANGE SWORD Thea's sword is cloaked in enchantments and sealing spells, suggesting a certain power that cannot be left unchecked. Though many people claim to hear voices speaking to them, if they come too close to it. . .
LAVISH SCAR Thea is covered from head-to-toe in scarring from her escapades in the arena, but one sticks out among the rest; a seemingly ritualistic scarring covers much of the woman's back, layered in scarred attempts to ruin its presence upon her body that make it impossible to discern entirely what the prior marking was for, to begin with.
SEEKER TRAITS Thea displays little to no physical traits of her miqo'te blood and seems to like it that way. She prefers to hide the way her pupils slit in glaring light and the sharpness of her incisors behind the safety of her helmet, as well as the short, nubby tail she sports beneath her ensembles.
A BIT OF A LIMP With how often it is known that the woman has been in the ring, it should come as no surprise that she has some lasting injuries that come with it; Thea has a limp in her step that is only really notable in her gait, for she does not allow it to have a bearing on her combat.

armor's surface
hooks we don't need to discuss in depth.
LIONHEART Thea is known as 'Lionheart' - a once ferocious Knight who protected the Countess of House Dremieur personally and fought for her in the pits as her champion. Many from Ishgard might have heard of her and her supposedly 'cold and callous' nature, especially when pertaining to the matters of bodyguarding and combat. It's possible many have fought her directly, too.PETTY SELLSWORD Thea can be found nowadays taking whatever work she can, often found in fighting pits or slaying dangerous beasts - and people. She cares little for how much a job pays - especially if it's one that spills blood - and cares only that it keeps her busy and capable of moving.ABUNDANT AETHER Thea's aether is abundant and capable of attracting many an eye - be it of benevolent or malevolent intent. To most, it's clear she likely needs to part with it somehow, for fighting constantly is simply not feasible, as much as she would like it to be.ALTRUISTIC NEED Thea is often in need of those who are capable of providing mundane services; ferrying to other places, enchantments, potions and tinctures, even smuggling things, be that items or herself - if your character is selling something or can help her get somewhere, chances are she'll have need of their aid.FORLORN SONGBIRD You've probably heard her singing once or twice when she thinks she's alone. It's haunting at best and beautiful at worst.

beneath the armor
hooks that require a good bit of discussion beforehand.
RED-HAIRED DEVIL All across Ishgard, the children of House Dremieur call for the head of one Red-haired Devil, known only by the name Lionheart. The bounty is a hefty one, claiming Thea to have murdered the Countess, stolen the family heirloom and attempted to bring down the House as all knew it - and for all intents, if such is true, then she succeeded. They warn her to be unpredictable and explosive, requesting her alive so that she might be properly punished for her crimes - but why are they so certain she did all these things, to begin with? Did she? What do you believe?HEADHUNTED She's been hired to kill you, for whatever reason. While she's not a stealthy assassin, she is a driven soul who will track anyone down seemingly for no real incentive at all - whether they deserve it or not. Can you talk yourself out of this entanglement? Can you make her a better deal? Why does she do this to begin with?VALUABLE BLOOD Whatever ailment has to do with her aether, it's crafted her blood into a powerful component to be used in alchemy and drug crafting. Whether the addicted socialites and peasants of Ishgard know it or not, the primary component of the infamous drug produced by House Dremieur is the ichor of the Knights that come from it - and its still prolific and desired.WHISPERING STEEL You could swear the sword she carries whispered something to you. So soothing, coaxing; visions of red haze, of the revelry of violence, the romance of a blade caressing the throat of a lamb. Some who have heard its whispers have found it difficult to resist its allure, falling into fits of violent rage lasting for varying amounts of time. Is this Thea's doing? Is she even aware? Is she under its spell, too?CURSEBOUND Aimlessly she wanders in search of those who might be able to free those she loves from the curse she carries the burden of. She's weary, but desperate; long-traveled and so very tired. Are you trustworthy?
